99 wagon power steering problem
#1
Yes, lets see. I have a 99 wagon with a weird power steering problem. Yesterday it was whining on turns, now today it has started grabbing on left turns. I took it in and the mechanic said the fluid level was good but that there were bubbles in it so I would have to have it flushed. Does this sound accurate, or does someone have another suggestion? Please help.

I have the same exact problem.
The problem is that the cap is not vacuum sealed. See, Ford refuses to realize that a simple gasket would solve the problem, but instead, every Sable model, new and old, has this problem.
The way to fix this, temporarily, is to fill the power steering fluid to max. Then, use a hand vacuum pump to seal the container. I suggest keeping fluid+vacuum in the car at all times.
It's a true pain in the ***, but it is the only way to take care of this problem.
Good Luck, and I hope I helped!
