A while ago, my 2000 Mercury Sable's emissions light kept coming on.
When I brought it to the shop to get it fixed, it continues to come on
after a while. After the third time, i guess the shop got lazy and
didn't know how to fix it so they just disabled the light (I know
because it doesn't come on when all lights come on with the ignition in
a certain position). Anyone know how I can enable this light again?



And does anyone know if this light coming on is a recall? The light
came on at 60k miles for no reason at all. But I remember that shortly
before this happened, I thought the car was on and put it in to drive
and it started rolling so I put it in park and the car jerked. But I
don't see how that would affect emissions. Anyone know anything about
this?
